Izzy Gerstel is a Chicana actor driven by movement, presence, and collaboration.

Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Izzy approaches performance through the body. Using movement, breath, and physical awareness as essential tools for storytelling. She holds a BFA in Drama with a minor in Production from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and is currently based on the West Coast, pursuing regional theater and film.

Her work spans live performance, web series, commercials, and film. She is grounded in a practice shaped by her time stage managing, playing guitar, the Feldenkrais Method, and Tai Chi. These disciplines inform a responsive, rigorous approach to acting. This ultimately helps her stay rooted in listening, adaptability, and ensemble during the creative process.

Outside of rehearsal rooms and sets, Izzy seeks out spaces where culture and community converge: art galleries, independently owned restaurants, concerts, and student-led projects. She is drawn to work that values process, curiosity, and collaboration, and to stories that live fully in the body.
